Ryle's Track Season Starts Wednesday!
We have a lot to do before we can enjoy the outdoors and prepare for a successful season. First, as with any year we have paperwork. Athletes may attend Tuesday 2/2, 3-4:15 PM and submit paperwork and fees or they can bring all necessary paperwork on Wednesday. We meet in the bus loop and encourage parents to park in the big lot and athletes to walk to the bus look. Parents, please check that all paperwork is present. Missing papers will disqualify athletes from participating that day. however, you may bring the fee later.

Besides this blog, we also have Twitter (@rhstrack and our website https://rylexcandtrackandfield.com/home) for live updates due to weather or facility delays or cancellations. This year we are also using the app TEAM APP. You may find the app in your Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Download the app to your phone and search for Ryle Track and Field. A link to that app is also located on our website. TEAM APP will also work on your pc or mac.
Our goal is for a smooth experience for the family and friends who support our athletes and for a successful and great experience for the athletes. Staying connected will help us achieve both those goals.

Running for Ryle is a great way to be involved and develop productive habits. I encourage students to participate because it's also fun and competition makes us more self-aware. This said, support our team and the athletes' hard work and buy your spirit wear. New to this track season athletes may purchase uniforms. We have uniforms for athletes to use, buying is not necessary. However, if you want to support the team a little more and help offset some of our expenses consider buying the uniform. This generous act helps us shift our resources to support athletes who face financial hardships. Again, purchasing the uniform is not required nor expected. Below is the link:

And finally, our policy is "no school - no practice." Today we are on a virtual snow day so we will not meet for the admin day. Athletes who have not played any sport this school year (fall or winter) must bring all the paperwork (and $35 fee) with parent signatures with them either tomorrow or on the first day of practice Wednesday. Returning athletes with current physicals only pay the $15 fee. Please spend some time reading through our website and encourage each other through these cold and early days to do as much at home as possible. On practice days athletes must complete the COVID Daily Sign-in Sheet. Parents, please remind athletes and help the younger ones with this task.
